Got my diagnosis June 2025 after routine VA screening at Naval Station Norfolk and they've been talking about TTFields as part of my treatment plan. Pleurectomy was August, recovering solid right now, but I want to understand what this thing actually does before I commit.
From what I'm reading it's electrical fields that slow down cancer cells or something, but I need the straight story. Is this something they do after chemo and surgery or instead of it. How long do you wear the device and does it actually work or is it just buying time.
Also curious if anyone on here is actually using it right now, what's the reality of wearing it day to day. I did 20 years Navy so I can handle uncomfortable gear but I want to know what I'm getting into.
