Biography
Dr. Barry Gibney is a thoracic surgeon at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center in Charleston, South Carolina. He trained at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School under some of the leading mesothelioma surgeons in the world, bringing that expertise to South Carolina where he serves as the only dedicated mesothelioma surgeon in the state. Dr. Gibney performs pleurectomy with decortication and works within a multidisciplinary team at Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI-designated cancer center, to provide comprehensive mesothelioma care to patients across the Southeast.
