Biography
Dr. Hiren Batra is the Director of the Interventional Pulmonology and Pleural Disease Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is the only mesothelioma interventional pulmonologist in Alabama, providing critical diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with pleural mesothelioma in the state and the broader Deep South. Dr. Batra's program focuses on minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing mesothelioma and managing pleural effusions, which are common complications of the disease.
