So my mom's oncologist mentioned tumor treating fields as something to maybe try after her next round of chemo and I honestly have no idea what that even is. I googled it at like 11pm last night and just got more confused, which is when I knew I needed to ask actual people who know what's going on.
From what I could gather it's like some kind of electric thing? But is that actually for lung cancer or is it more of a glioblastoma thing? My mom has pleural meso Stage III and we're in Phoenix so if it's worth trying we'd probably do it but I don't want to get her hopes up if it's not actually going to help her situation.
Also like, how does it even work if it works? Is it something she'd have to wear all the time or is it treatments at the clinic? I'm already juggling her chemo schedule with my teaching job and honestly if it's another thing that requires constant appointments I'm not sure how we'd manage it right now.
Does anybody here actually have experience with this or know someone who tried it? I keep seeing stuff online that sounds promising but I've learned the hard way that what sounds good on a website isn't always what actually helps.
