Synopsis

Based on the true story of Karen Silkwood, a nuclear plant worker at the Kerr-McGee plutonium processing facility in Oklahoma who discovered evidence of safety violations and contamination cover-ups.

Our Review

The earliest and most chilling corporate whistleblower film. Silkwood discovered her employer was exposing workers to deadly radiation — and she was killed before she could go public. The parallels to asbestos are haunting.
